Much to my dismay, Chad was out in the camper last night at 2 AM installing the finishing touch - the cabinet doors. The PUP turns into a sauna during the day as it is parked in direct sunlight, so Chad took advantage of the cool evening air!
I am beyond happy with the results! There are a few things I don't love, mainly the sheer curtains and the bed spreads but they'll do for now. My before and after's clearly still need some work but whatev - the ole' girl is ready for reveal!
Chad did an amazing job re-building, painting and finishing this cabinet! Huge thanks to my father in law for making the doors. He left the original top, which I actually quite like so I am glad for that. And don't forget those floors! Love them! You can see the curtains in this pic. They were supposed to be full chevron but due to a fabric fiasco of them either telling me the wrong amount or Fabric.com sending me the wrong amount, we had to get creative. I know it's not my fault because I ordered extra in every fabric just to be safe. lol I don't mind, it actually breaks up the busy-ness a bit.
The chalk board table probably won't make it camping as it is just too bulky for the space - but it looks cool! I reupholstered the cushions, which turned out better than I expected. The galvanized steel tub is to act as a sink and hanging on the window is a teal star with rope! I didn't make that one :)
This is the smaller of the beds. I put up thick chevron curtains because I thought this was going to be Chad and I's "room" but that was before I realized the beds were different sizes. So not sure what will happen there. I tried the curtains out on the other side and didn't like them there.
TA DA! Here is the entire reveal. Angels and all that jazz! We're both happy with the finished product. Chad, being the perfectionist that he is, still want to address the ceiling and the exterior. He's worked super hard on this and I think it shows! It's sturdy, well built and - pretty!
Now? We need to go camping!
